hi john,no it was all from my mind,i took note of all the things i loved as a child,mainly ambient pieces of art,and these colours.

haha when i first saw star wars,it was on the television.back in 85' or 86'.i didn't understand the concept of wide screen.specifically when it was squashed to fit the normal television.the intro to the movie had the star destroyer fit right down the middle of the screen,but squashed the planets moons.i thought now thats a cool concept.I always wanted to do a squashed moon,thats my excuse for poor circular rendering :p.

actually reading your comment again,its a collection of things i loved as i child as stated,but yes i was heavily influenced by star trek and other sci fi goodness.such as "Krull"
